About New Evangelists Monthly

New Evangelists Monthly

New Evangelists Monthly is an informal, dynamic, crowd-sourced “meta-magazine” showcasing the best posts faithful Catholic bloggers publish each month. Here you will find many different, but faithfully Catholic viewpoints, insights and perspectives.

A new issue of NEM is formed the first Saturday of every month (“formed” in the sense of opened to contributions – most typically made in a day or two). Please stop by anytime to view the current and other recent editions.

Reader FAQ

  • Who says these are their “best posts”? The bloggers themselves! They choose 1 piece to highlight here. Their entries may cover all areas of Catholic life such as faith, spirituality, meditations, liturgy, conversion, experience, family life and more.
  • These posts do not bear a nihil obstat or imprimatur – can they be trusted? Frankly, no…   or at least not completely as there could be unintentional errors. The traditional assurances for published material do not fit the new media model. HOWEVER, only faithful Catholics, loyal to the Magisterium and all that the holy Catholic Church believes, teaches and proclaims to be revealed by God are invited to participate.

Are YOU a faithful Catholic Blogger?

If so, you are already an active participant in the New Evangelization. THANK YOU!

Please accept this cordial invitation to share your work in this forum with people who may be unaware of your blog. New Evangelists Monthly essentially serves as a community “table of contents” with your actual content served directly from your blog. It is hoped that this vehicle will increase exposure and build traffic in the Catholic blogging community.

Contributor FAQ

  • NEM is open to all faithful Catholic bloggers:
    • All: lay people, priests, deacons and religious too (if you are a contributor to a multi-author blog, submit from among your own posts; your blog’s other authors are welcome to submit theirs).
    • Faithful: to the authentic teaching of the Church, the Pope and the bishops in communion with him.
    • Catholic: currently a practicing Catholic or in RCIA.
  • Participation is extremely easy, just enter the details for your piece (see the step-by-step walk-thru). This will literally take well under 1 minute. There really are no downsides and the upside is increased visibility for your work.
  • Any of your posts (but only one, specific post!) from the prior month that touches on our faith is welcome. (Please — do not choose posts that are commercial or which do not directly connect to Catholicism. Examples: while crafts for Lent or teaching the faith fit, general crafts or general home schooling do not.)
  • The list opens promptly, every first Saturday at 12 noon US Eastern time (9am US Pacific).
  • Please consider spreading the word about this service by including one of the badges below. This is not required but will be appreciated by all participants.
  • Don’t forget to be a reader too! Check-out the wonderful efforts fellow Catholic bloggers are making for the New Evangelization.
